aaah Sylvie Sylvie, quelle belle image! Quelle chaleur et cette composition gracieuse en courbes inversées entre l'escalier et son ombre. Très bien vu comme toujours, Mlle Fondacci (maintenant je sais pourquoi un nom à consonance italienne) à l'oeil d'aigle, bravo!

Hi Sylvie,
Great warm golden lighting in this night shot. The rod iron railing is quite an interesting pattern and greatly seen for this photograph. I love what this composition does with my eyes. I move greatly among the stairs and the design of the railing. Very cool! Still your styling but different. Splendid indeed.

Well, I see that the trip must have been great, because the photo definitely is. Excellent warm tones & shadows to match it, so different from your city shots... Very beautifully captured. I like this "rustic" Sylvie style.

I love the colour and geometry in this picture - certainly brings a certain meditteranean warmth to the spirit.

I would be tempted to crop the picture more tightly to remove the ledge in the lower right corner and the gate in the upper left. Focusing the attention on the centre section with the diagonal lines and curves running through the pictures. The shadow then stands out more and balances the bottom of the railing on the stairs.

Great picture, hope the holiday was as good.

Splendide photo d'architecture et la lumière est superbement rendue, ce qui n'est pas évident au lever du soleil. La composition est magique et ce qui m'attire le plus, c'est l'ombre de la rampe vers le bas. J'aurais même eu tendance à couper le haut de la photo pour faire arriver le haut de la rampe extérieure avec le coin supérieur droit. Photo extraordinaire!

bonsoir Sylve, les rampes en fer forges sont belles, simples de motif.elles forment une très belle construction de ligne; les couleurs jaunes ocre bruncontrastent avec le noir ( brrr peur moi )

stunning Sylvie.. makes me think of the 'golden stairs' to heaven often depicted in paintings.. :-) that glow and light are just amazing but i think it's the composition that strikes me the most.. wonderful contrast of lines, angles, shoadows, and colours that just leap out at you even from the thumbnail alone.. and i've always wanted to visit corsica! perhaps when in italy i'll get the chance :-) sounds like a beautiful trip you had.. and what inspiration it provided! simply beautiful Sylvie ^_^

As I have said before, you do have the eye for that tiny detail that makes a photo great. The colours are absolutely lovely and the various shapes created by the bannister and the shadows of it are a wonder. Actually it looks like a photo from a top notch reflex camera with that deep rich texture in the wall.

Bonsoir Sylvie, superbe " Barroco Crescendo" qui me déroute par les spirales du fer forgé, par les ombres ascendantes et descendante de la rampe. le tout accentué par des magnifiques contrastes or et ambre. Sorte d'ascension vers la lumière d'un paradis que chacun peut trouver.

The rythmn of the eloborate railing is very nice going up on a curve on your photo dictating your composition. Very well done.

I 'dug out' this one too from your gallery, and I can perfectly see that you've had many many comments and points given, and that my comment isn't gonna make an awful lot of difference, but I just couldn't help saying that this is one of the best low-light photographs of all time!

And indeed, probably the best with a title similar to that of the song "Stairway to Heaven". Many people name their works that way, but it doesn't always fit quite as well...

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that the colours, patterns, shadows, circular shapes AND the title work grrrreat together!
