your stunning contrast here says..evening approaches and brings good food and company

Yo!, Sylv, the summer is finnished, caput, ende, fine, gone. Stop reminding me that I have not dipped into sea and messed in sand this summer.

I agree, very pleasing pastels and a scene/detail that brings back summer feelings in south Italy. Eh, those were the days my friend, we though they never end ...

...is a nice addition to the red/brown/pinkish tones I saw in Rome, Sylvie. Nice capture, the big shadows are a bit disturbing to me though.
Anyway, they give a nice indication of the late hour.
