The door of the church of Castelnou (XIIIth cy), called Ste Marie del Mercadal(del Market, because in medieval times, Castelnou was at the cross of important roads and became a great center of market). Its ironworks are said to be the most beautiful of Languedoc-Roussillon.The church is slightly out of the village which surrounds the castle.
In Ws the whole shot from which this detail is taken.
I wanted to do a B&W shot , but whith the adjustments , the annel seemed too dark , so that I opted for keeping it in colour which was smoother and made it apart as it seems it not so old as the ironwork itself.
Hope you like this.

Hello Henri,

Mmm, love the detail of shape and texture on this fine, close-up shot. It creates lovely swirling patterns.
I think I would have liked to see all the handle... am I a perfectionist?

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Salut Henri,

Amicalement.

Pascalie.

Hello Henri, beautiful detail from the door; lovely pattern work.
The desaturation was a good idea, but I would have liked to see the whole of the circular door handle.
Good sharp quality.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Bonjour Henri,
Interesting shot of this antique door.
The sharpness is excellent and details also.
I like very much the natural colour of handle on the B/N background.
It's a pity for the piece missing of the handle.
REgards.
Ciao! Vanda

Bonjour Henri.

Hello Henri,
The b&w rendition is effective in showcasing details and texture of the isolated door. Well done, the pp work is impressive. Best regards.
