[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The counts of Foix ruled the independent County of Foix, in southern France, during the Middle Ages. Later they extended their power to almost the entire Pyrenees mountain range.

Foix is a small town near the French-Spanish and Andorra border. The main historical feature is the Château of the Counts of Foix, which overlooks the old part of the town. It crowns an isolated rock with its three towers of the 12th, 14th and 15th centuries.
