Landing of the Giant

Dedicated to Henkie, she was a bit disappointed after my yesterday's posting. So Elsie, this one is your's :-)

A landing Airbus A380, world's largest civil passengers aircraft. When I was on Toulouse airport waiting for the crew (which didn't show up) I sat for a few hours in the KLM Cityhopper aircraft waiting to fly the plane back to Amsterdam. During my stay this A380 was testing on the airfield and made several take offs and landings (full stops). There was quite a hard cross wind blowing over the field, but this giant didn't seem to be hampered by the storm. NB: Toulouse is the home of the Airbus family, quite impressive those big birds :-)

Well Els hope you and others enjoy this view.

So the BIG Airbus has landed!! What a sight it is Hansie, especially seeing it flying over the smaller planes.
How was the noise?
Auckland airport is getting ready for it to land too.

Cheers
Janice

Hi Hans,

Big piece of steel... ;] I'm always wondering how it is able take off from ground... :] Very nice capture with good composition and clarity. Interesting note. Well done my friend & TFS :]

Greetings form Poland,
Pawel

Hello Hans,

What a giant (the aeroplane) and yet it all seems so calm! What were the noises like?

Good details (I can see the landing gear down) and very nicely composed.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hallo Hans,
Pracht opname van dat testtoestel A380.Menig vliegtuig spotter had graag in je schoenen gestaan denk ik!
Bedankt en groet,
Frieda.

A huge plane here Hans! Nice catch of this Big Boy, excellent sharpness even at the speed it's taking off...which is about 200mph? or maybe more for such a large object! You did a great job capturing this one!

Linda

Bravo Réal.

Hi Hansie,

So this one is mine then? okay, wrap it up and I take it home, wouldn't it be great to have such a giant all to myself, just need a pilot and a lot of friends (and free kerosine) AND OFF WE GO INTO THE WIDE WIDE WORLD.
Must have been wonderful to see the tests with this Airbus! Greener, cleaner.......... a nice slogan as well!
Yes, this I love, absolutely - makes me dream of far away destinations, could not be better.

Thanks je hebt het weer helemaal goed gemaakt.

A giant indeed Hans... wow...
I'm really still amazed how these things can stay up in the sky.... ok ok.. you explained to me, but still... I think it's a bit of a miracle.

I think maybe in this image the background can get a bit more blur to prevent distraction...

Cheers,
Anneke
