Hello Everyone,

It's good to be back!

Well, what good luck!
I had no idea what the theme was as I have been on holiday, but ... I took this shot whilst in France and I think it fits the theme quite well!

This was taken at the port of Antibes on the French Riviera. There were lots of very beautiful and imposing yachts but I particularly wanted this shot as the yacht was right in at the quayside, for an overhaul, and I was able to get almost underneath it!

I stood looking longingly at the boats believing, from my early days of reading comics, that some philanthropic millionaire would step forward and invite us onboard for a cool glass of champagne and leisurely tour of the boat. Sadly, fiction really is fiction!!

Still, we had a lovely holiday and ... it cost nothing to look!

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

pp very little, just sharpened, adj brightness, framed and signed.

HI Beverly
A good one for the theme well taken contrasting well against this blue sky.
Dot

Welcome back Bev, looking at that sky I would hazard a guess that the weather was pleasant. An excellent entry for the theme, god colour and well composed. I quite enjoy walking around the yacht club when some of the larger boats are up on frames being refurbished. Well done,
David

Nicely done Bev - well composed with the hull and bow fitting in like this.
It must be an awesome looking yacht. That's MY kinda yacht - I'd go sailing on it. Only problem is that it isn't mine... But if it was I'd invite you on board for a cool glass of champagne and leisurely tour of the boat

Hi Bev,

Great idea to capture partly of a boat . .
Yes, definitely it suits with this week theme . .
I like the composition with diagonal pose . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

:-)) will be back this afternoon

hello Bev

Is this a ocean liner cruise ship? It looks large for a yacht but if you are 'under' a cruise ship, then a wide angle even cannot accommodate the full view of the whole vessel.

Just wondering how you get this diagonal, by walking around on the 'water'? But it is a good angle to show the yacht under a blue sky. Holiday around the quayside, that is a good idea. tfs

Hi Bev,
Unique POV catching the sleek line of yacht that stands out prominently against the lovely pastel sky.
If it was my yacht I would certainly invite you and your beau aboard for a bit of the bubbley.
Regards, Tom
