you have done a wonderful job in maintaining detail and tones in the obviously darker areas
for me its more than just colour..it also has a great amount of shape and form and to make the view of greater interest a figure..just enough to satisfy the final journey of the eye

Interesting visual!
in a state of my country, we have like this ourselves constructions, houses all committees and of beautiful colors.
I sell this here his picture, I see a similar one with the ones that have in the North of my country. Usually they are not so light in the colors, here they are stronger.

Un point vue intéressant avec ce plan rapproché. Très graphique tous ces détails sur les facades. J'aime beaucoup les changements que tu as apportés sur la version en workshop, le ciel fait plus naturel, quoiqu'avec celle-ci, la lumière est aussi formidable. Le ciel fait plus naturel. Bravo! Annie

I'm ready to pack my bags and head to Arles! I like that all of the homes have a different facade, different shutters, textures, etc... I also like the "pastelish" (my invented word) colors of the buildings. It makes for a very peaceful shot.

The black frame adds to the shot and is not distracting at all.

Ah ! un peu de soleil qui nous réchauffe ... douce ambiance du Sud avec toutes ces couleurs pastels ... les volets ... l'ombre, la rue déserte, tout est réuni pour nous faire sentir la chaleur du soleil, bravo !

Bonjour Jo, excellente photo de ces murs colorés, les détails sont excellents te l'exposition bien faite, l'image penche vers la gauche cependant, la personne seule au bout de la rue augmente l'intérêt, merci !

Hi Jo,

When I saw Arles in the title I immediately though of Vincent van Gogh.
I when I look at the beautiful colours in the picture again I though of Vincent van Gogh.
This are the colours he often used for the paintings he made in this region.

Hello Jonathan,a lovely shot looking down the street with the pastel coloured buildings.I like the look of neglect which always gives character to buildings, don't you think?
The shadow adds depth and the figure completes the scene.
