Fresh as you like.
Local farmers at a local French market stall display the plump, fresh, and highly contrasted coloured veg artistically to please the eye in an attempt to make you buy.
I was on holiday, so i wasn't tempted to buy.
I was however tempted to shoot.
It was a relatively dull day, and all the market stalls were prepared for rain, so most of the stalls were covered with white plastic sheeting.
To compensate for dull light, I bounced flash off the roofing of this stall.
I had to increase ISO from 100 to 400 to allow for reduced lighting due to polorizing filter being fitted for increased colour saturation.
I chose f4 as I wanted a natural fading of focus falling away form the main subjects of the red and green peppers, the aubergines and the artichokes, so the carrots, cabbages garlic etc were just slightly out of focus, but not too blurred to be a distraction.
Slightly cropped to remove the table edge in the foreground.
Adjusted in Aperture 2 using the following settings
Contrast +0.05
Saturation +0.75
Hue saturation Red +0.11
Slightly sharpened, resized and uploaded.
Good enough to eat!
thanks

Very interesting still life; such vivid colors and sharp details. Good move on the crop and post adjustments as well. I'm not a huge fan of most of the items there but admit the presentation here makes them tempting.
Nicely composed and presented,
Thanks,
Wilt
