[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
In case people were getting bored of my sunset photos, I decided I'll break them up by uploading two other photos first. This one and the other is coming tomorrow. They were both taken at a WW2 musuem in France, and I would like them together in my gallery, you'll see why when I upload the next one;p

I can't quite lay my finger on it, but this is one of my all time favourite photos I've taken. I think it's just the pure simplicity of it, and the limited colours- Only red, blue and white.

Now wouldn't it be nice if we could see all the flags of the world together rather than just these four? I think deep down the world expects that it will never happen, and have given up hope, and therefore it never will happen...

I kept PP to a minumum. This is the full frame composed in-camera, and I just slightly boosted shadow contrast and adjusted levels. Then resize frame and USM.

Hope you like this one,
Jako

PS- I used my tripod for some self-portraits tinight and there is still bits of french beach coming out of it!

Hi

Great picture, I saw this on your website and I thought it was really good then. The simplicity of it is great and I really like your pov in this along with your composition. Also all the colours combine really well with other and as you mention in your note they are kept to a minimum.

Great picture

Hi Jako,

I like the composition and exposure very nicely done

Chris

Well now, I will HAVE to comment on this shot, not because I dont like your sunset shots, I've just run out on things to say on those. ;)

First off all, that is as you 'English folk' would say, TOTAL BULLOCKS. I think the world will, and will 'have' to unite one day, hopefully that day is in the near future because honestly the Earth itself cannot withstand all this ridicule that the human mind is laying upon it's surface. Furthermore, I myself intend to dedicate my life to somehow improving our current political/human stand point... the world cannot live off capitalism for much longer, there are far to many (billions infact) people shunned into the shadows of capitalism. That's not to say I disagree on the... basis, of capitalism, it's just not hmmm how to say it... it just isn't solving enough problems. Point is SUPERB shot, I adore it... I have quite my share of flag photos.. and I know how hard they are, because the wind has to hit them just right... otherwise it's pointless really. :P

Great work as always, thanks, thanks, thanks!

And I see those numbers are racking up! ;)

Biance.

nice contrast, good idea. thanks for sharing.

trés joli cliché, le cadrage est trés efficace et le contraste incroyable.
TFS!

Armel.

simply fantastic!

the polariser has done its magic here by darkening the sky and letting the flags stand out :)

i like the tilted angle and the colors :)

one of your best jako :)
