Chateau Beynac

La survie du Patrimoine historique tient à deux facteurs : sa mise en valeur et sa restauration. Ce témoignage de notre Civilisation et de notre Histoire nous permet aussi de reconstituer le Passé au quotidien : c'est la tâche la plus difficile à mettre en œuvre. Elle s'avère pourtant indispensable si l'on veut que cet héritage culturel soit ressenti comme un élément de l'environnement naturel dans lequel nous vivons.

Rien n'est plus désolant que d'ouvrir les portes d'une demeure où tout semble figé, où un être humain ne saurait s'épanouir. Dans ces lieux, n'oublions pas que des Hommes et des Femmes ont vécu, avec leurs joies, avec leurs peines, leurs ambitions et leurs activités quotidiennes. Essayons de recréer cet aspect vivant du Patrimoine, afin que l'imagination puisse, à travers lui, percevoir ce qu'a été l'existence de nos prédécesseurs.

L'ouverture ne doit pourtant pas aller à l'encontre du respect que nous devons témoigner envers le passé. Telle est la mission délicate à laquelle tous ceux qui ont la charge d'un monument, qu'il soit public ou privé, doivent porter toute leur attention. Que ceux qui ouvrent leurs demeures sachent les rendre accueillantes et vivantes, afin que, pour les visiteurs, elles ne soient pas étrangères, mais qu'ils ressentent, à travers le filtre du temps passé, la présence évocatrice de chacune des pierres.

le château féodal de Beynac, une forteresse superbe et incontournable au cours des XIIème, XIIIème et XIVème siècles, la forteresse a été un temps française puis anglaise et à nouveau française en 1453.


Castle Beynac

The survival of Historical Heritage depends on two factors: its use and its restoration. This witness to our Civilization and our History enables us to reconstitute the past in our everyday lives: this is the most difficult task. It is nonetheless an indispensable one if we want this cultural heritage to be felt as a component of the environment in which we live.


Nothing is more depressing than opening the doors of a home where everything seems frozen in time, where we cannot imagine a human being living and enjoying life. In all these places, let us not forget that men and women once lived there, with their joys, sorrows, ambitions, and daily activities. Let us try to recreate this living aspect of our Heritage so that our imagination can grasp the existence of those who came before us.

An open site must not, however, mean disrespect for the past. This is the difficult task that all those in charge of a historical site must fulfill. May those who open their homes make them hospitable and living so that visitors do not find them strange, but feel, across time, the evocative power of every stone.

The feudal castle of Beynac in perigord, during the 12th, 13th, and 14th Centuries this fortress was French during a certain period, then English, and again French in 1453.

Interessante plaat, geweldig HPP-werk. Intrigerend onderwerp, kan zo voor en film decor gebruikt worden. Je bent toch wel een specialist in dit soort PP-werk. Fantastische inzending.

Excellent ce PPwork, j'aime beaucoup la brume associée au ciel étoilé.
D'où as-tu pris cette vue ? côté Castelnaud ?
Petite précision... Beynac n'est pas en Poitou-Charente, mais dans le Périgord, soit en Aquitaine
En tout cas, bravo car cette région mérite vraiment d'être mise en valeur.

Pim, helemaal fantastisch - wat me gelijk opviel (slaat nergens op) is dat die groene/zilver/parelmoerachtige kleur rechts boven in de lucht- had je ook in de bol achter de paarse fox gloves - heel bijzonder en de sfeer ja - kan niet beter - genieten dus weer van een kunststukje van je.

Hallo Pim,
Passende PP om een overgefotografeerd thema (alwéér een kasteel! ;o)) op een verrassende manier aan ons te presenteren. Je transformeert dit kiekje in een sprookjesprent, al zit er ook een duister kantje aan (zwart bos op de voorgrond). Je werk aan de belichting is zeer doeltreffend en creëert een heel stuk van de sfeer. 't Zou mij wel benieuwen de oorspronkelijke foto te zien...
