In the courtyard of the town hall. Having encircled with arcades this one is a place of wait, repose for the constituents and the tourists who take shelter at the hottest hours. I liked to take in photograph, the beauty of sculpted stones and their colour representative of building of Poitou-Charentes and this impassive man who waited I do not know what.

Encircled with its gothic surrounding wall
dating from XVeme century, the Town hall introduces more paces of fortress than common home. But it is a symbol: the city protects its communal freedom, granted from 1199 by Aliénor of Aquitaine.

Salut Corinne,
J'aime bien cette prise de vue avec les magnifiques détails de cette architecture. Les textures et les gravures sur les arches sont très bien visibles et très bien capturés. Il y a juste la légère inclinaison vers la gauche qui demanderais une correction. Autrement tout est admirable avec en plus cette homme qui donne de la vie.
