Tonight, I wanted to show you a cosmos flower in all its beauty, a flower simple as we can see in our gardens, cosmos are growing very easy. You can sow directly in place in May, but attention still to slugs that can destroy your plants.

The cosmos is very interesting for the light touch they bring to our flower clump.

The white, pink, red and crimson are the colors of the cosmos bipinnatus The yellow, orange and red are the colors of the cosmos sulfureus.

The cosmos is originally from mexico

The height of the cosmos varies between 35 and 120 centimeters, depending on variety.

Flowering lasts from early summer until frost in autumn, they are resistant to light frosts (that is the truth, there are still gardens now finally this week with rain, they lose its blossom)

The cosmos are planted in clumps, borders, in trays and in rockeries.
The cosmos grow well in full sun in a soil medium or poor and well drained.

Never fertilize it will cause the gigantic and very delayed flowering

Love the warm temperatures and dry climate, but watering deep and irregular

The more you cut flowers into bouquets, the more they bloom news.

Planting interiors are generally made from March 15 to April 10. Germination takes about 5 to 7 days at a temperature of 24 Celsius. Bury slightly seeds, light or dark have no effect on germination. Bed planting 3 weeks later

Don't fertilizer. The ideal growing temperature is 24 Celsius.

The external culture:

You can sow directly in the ground in mid-May.

Transplant out around 15 or 20 May. Space the plants 45 cm. and water after transplantation.

Thank you to you who put a message to my recent photographs, I didn't reply to them but I needed at that moment, think about me and my health. This subsides around me but I'm still very tired, I'll try to make this effort so I don't "run" after points, but by your opinion, I do for the moment, save that a photograph a week. This will leave me time to meet and watch your photographs to you. I hope you understand because I must say, at the height of the crisis of the disease three weeks ago, I could not talk or walk and write, I'm still convalescing and fragile even if I have the desire to get me there, while gradually returning, I have to remain reasonable and I hear that my body signals and sends me especially as I think of my family was afraid for me.
Now, I can say Don't worry, be happy ;O)

Bonjour Cocky!
Happy to see this wonderful posting of you! Great sharpness and wonderfull how th ecolours of this flower is exposed. Did you blurred the background by reversing the flower selection or is it the natural sharp edge of the flower petals. Anyway my dear it's an outstanding presentation of this wonderful flower!
Merci beaucoup mon amie!
Big hug from the Baron ;-)
Hans

Bonjour Corinne,

Bonsoir mon amie Coquelicot,

Odile

David

Hello my dear friend

What a beautiful capture you have given us here, even when you are really poorly your wonderful feel for photography shows through. A really clear shot here, well balanced with amazing vivid colour and sharp detail.

I hope you are taking good care of yourself my friend and getting plenty of rest.

bye for now

kind regards Helen

Bonjour Corinne

bisous
