The mini-tomatos are crunched, at heating lower cost, natural, with "crunch-with-salt" or divings in a consistent sauce at the time of an aperitif in own way of cocktail snacks. In the hot preparations, it's preferable to add tomatos at the last time, unless the receipt doesn't indicate another thing. Don't peel them especially, thus they will preserve their form longer.

At will use mini-tomatos as asset thinness or as combined of a food healthy and balanced as a cut-hunger at the end of the morning and the afternoon or to nibble. They are easily let transport in a plastic box to work, for a picnic or at the time of long displacements.

Thanks to their form, their taste and their color, the mini-tomatos are appropriate perfectly to colour cold salads, sandwiches, dishes, typed and fried meals. Here you can cut them into two. The mini-tomatos cut into two make more effect by laying out them the side rounded to the top, on the edge of a plate, a toast or slipped into a sandwich.

Amusing to cultivate on a balcony. The tomatos cherries push very well including in vats or large pots, but attention they ask a regular watering.

Baked custard with the Tomatos Cherries:

Preparation : 10 minutes
Cooking : 15 minutes
For 4 people.

- 1 Egg
- 10 g of Maïzena or Cornstarch
- 10 cl Milk
- 4 grated Gruyere pinches
- Salt, pepper
- 125 gr of Tomatos cherries
- 10 Cl of reduced liquid Cream
- 1 Egg yolk

Wash and to withdraw the tails of the tomatos cherries.

Mix eggs with milk and the cream. Add the maïzéna or Cornstarch. Salt, pepper.

Pour the preparation in small ramekins.
Lay out in each ramekins tomatos and powder with grated Gruyere. Put the whole in a container large enough for the whole of ramekins, and to put it to make cook with the "bain-marie" or in english, "Double boiler".

Cover the ramekins food film or of a greaseproof paper sheet and make cook them with the vapor during 15 mn. Check cooking, the blanks must be firm and be well held. If necessary, prolong cooking.

Good appetite and kisses with all.

I took the macro one on a white zone, made up of a Bristol white sheet. With Paint shop pro, I adjusted the light, the shades, a suspicion of saturation. After having recorded, the original version, I made duplicate, I made a W\B which I kept as a copy on a new layer. Then on original photography, I routed tomatos in bunches, makes other copy on the other new layer, then on photography in N\B makes stick, adjust so that this one is placed at the top of tomatos in black and white to have a pure shade. To blend the two layers and to add the frame.

Lut Corinne,
Ça donne faim tout ça ! :)
Pour ta prochaine recette photographique, essaie d'ajouter 1 ou deux gouttes d'eau sur les tomates pour plus de fraîcheur.
Tres belle photo.

Hi Corinne,
Great idea, lovely excecuted. The red agains the white is a stunning contrast, the green makes a a bit more balanced. You didn't use a flash, but the aperture is absolutely too large for this kind of pictures with a low shutter shutter speed and poor lightcondition, try to use f 8.0 and up! Anyway a very nice posting my dear Corinne, no shame at all! TFS.

Merci !!!
Big bisous normands tardifs !
Amitiés
