Sugar is a foodstuff of vegetable origin, made up essentially of saccharose, and various natural substances belonging to the class of glucids responsible for one of four fundamental gustatory savours (sugared).

The saccharose is present in all the plants containing of chlorophyl. Sugar is produced industrially starting from the sugar-cane and of sugar beets.

Other plants contain a large quantity of sugar extracted in the form of syrup :
- the sugar maple,
- the date palm (palm sugar with the sap, sweetens date with the fruit),
- palm trees with sugar (like the coconut of Chile),
- sorghum,
- the Agave americana.
for two last name, no alcoholic beverages ^_°

In April, one afternoon rainy, an idea, and here is the result.
I emptied a part of limps of sugar which is useful only for the guests and our son. The parents of my husband and itself are diabetics then we don't sugar food more.

Photography is black and white. I have several photographs with various plans of shot. The light is that of the day. The pieces of sugar are posed on a black Bristol-board sheet.

Very interesting, very original shot.Lighting is perfect.

bonjour Corinne,
amicalement

Beautiful conceptual photo. The idea of standing out! The BW treatment suits this picture well.
Regards,
Tibi

Bonsoir Corinne :o)
Rigolo, j'ai pensé à ce genre de photos cet après-midi en remplissant mon sucrier ;o) C'est très graphique, et le N&B est excellent, of course ! Beau damier avec une case récalcitrante ;o) Bravo !

Creative photo! I'd like without the inner white frame; it looks like a limitation which stops the flow.

Hi Corinne,
Great visual message. I had a different message from simply recognising the impace of sugar. The rows of sugar to me represented teeth and the one upright lump depicts the only tooth remaining that is still intact.
Best wishes,
Celina

Good morning Corinne

"naughty but nice"

I like this composition , nice in black and white and interesting notes. Amazing what we can still find to photograph on a rainy day.

TFS regards Helen

Bonjour Corinne,
Je profite de quelques minutes de repos pour venir te visiter. Les journées pluvieuse t'apporte une excellente source d'imagination. Très belle composition avec un morceau qui s'est rebellé. Magnifique réussite dans un beau cadre.
Amitiés
Pierre

I like the idea.
Your black & white choice is good.
I wouldn't have put the standing lump in the middle, but that's just my humble opinion.

Salut Corinne,
nice play with simple structures in BW. Good use of DOF and lines. It looks like a monument in modern art. Well done. TFS Thomas

Hi there,

I like that,
Even though the photo is BW sugar can give to our live some color :)
Of course decay may be the unliked result.
Well done.
