[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
I wanted to take part in the topic that us had to propose Helen just for the fun, but here, I returned this evening too much, to put in times (French hour + 00H55 am) to make it snifff ;O( no but "Don't worry be happy" of Bobby Mcferrin ;OD , that enabled me to make a contest with myself all the same if I can't take part.

Well for me, nature is the greatest reserve which we have the chance to see all around us, and not only in the museums. Art isn't exclusively reserved to the men, look at all around us.
A bird becomes an artist for its promised in marriage by putting feathers and brushwood to have more the beautiful nest

I remembered that I had some shells that I had bought, and I took those which showed us either by their form or by their colors, that they were great artists.

The abstract dimension required in the topic, comes mainly from the positions of the colour of that in the second plan.

For PP work to get this photography, I made a studio of handywoman amateur (black Bristol piece and an aluminum foil so that the light isn't in direct contact with the objects but is a reflection of the light) then I took the software Paint shop Pro XI, and make the adjustments of luminosity, contrast, colors and other... Once that made I took "the magnetic tool: lasso" because my background wasn't uniformly black, once what I wanted to remake, selected, I used "the Paint tool" to apply the black colour.

As I wanted that the two shells aren't in the center and "wedged" whereas I have it had taken in "macro" mode, I made copy and put in a new model with larger layer by sticking my photography as another layer to put them in the right angle.
To finish, it was necessary me to add two other layers to put two frames on the black ground and to do a little gumming so that the subjects give the impression to leave the frames.

I hope to have been rather clearly and simple in my explanations to give ideas and to share them with you. Sorry for my poor english

Good week-end for you

Hi there!

Nice, clean and interesting shot of these shells... colourful and interesting to look at.
the two things that are distracting for me: the framing lines and the script on the image.
Would work a lot better for me with the simple large negative black space without those ...
anyway, I like it.

greetings

guntram

Antoine.

Good Morning my dear friend

What a perfectly composed capture, beautifully lit and with excellent detail. The placement of the shell across this simple but very effective framing is jsut delightful.

Bonsoir Corinne,
Annie

Bonjour Corinne

So simple but so nice, the texture of theses shells is emphasized by the dark background.

And to think that I have collected hundreds of these shells in my time and thrown them all away.

Hi Corinne,

I like this style of putting the POI in the corner and leaf plenty of space for us to think and imagine . .
Excellent exposure for the snails . .
Great idea of presenting it . .
Wishing you always be healthy my dear friend

Bonjour Corinne
C'est une composition toute simple, voir minimaliste, mais qui atteint parfaitement son but : mettre en valeur ces deux jolis coquillages.
C'est excellement présenté et parfaitement réalisé. Bravo.
Amicalement
Antoine

Simple but eye-catching picture. The long shell breaking the line of the border works well but it's slightly distracted by the white text in the frame.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
