Well, some kids sure must have had a lot of fun building this château-fort on the beach. My kind of beach fun is taking long walks with the family ;o). And, naturally, taking pictures occasionally...

I don't know how many kids participated in this construction... but it's one of the largest sand castle's I've ever seen.

Nice shot, Frank! Great light and excellent POV! I like how the sand castle is shown against a background that could have a real castle. Excellent!

Tell me, is this the same beach near Douarnenez, where my footsteps must be somewhere ? I've been here often while staying on the camping "above". Some of my shots from Plage de Kervel can be seen here, what a coincidence, Frank ! This picture is funny, a real beach-scene and well composed, light is good too !

What a great beach scene Frank. I like that the sandcastle is in the foreground, and view of the hills in the background is included. That certainly is a good sandcastle. I like the sunlight coming from the left side. Very nice Frank.

It's the light on the sand castle that I find most attractive in this picture, Frank. The composition and colours are good as well but only sand castle seems to be lighted to encourage you to take its picture. Well done!

Back to childhood is always a nice trip !
Did you see my 'back to childhood' Frank ?
Child again

(alas .. the sea water is a little far out of view )

Very nice photo Frank ..
compliments !

Till next time

Hi Frank,

Excellent shot and well viewed with the background scenery. Excellent compo.

Mike

Some little hands worked hard to build this magnificient fort! I love the straw they placed for a mast...most likely used to drink a cold drink from the cup used to make the towers.
Nice view of the golf course and just a tiny hint of the ocean to tempt us.....
Great shot, Frank.....:O)

A nice one Frank, a nice castle. I like it!
Best regards
Guy

Beach and kid fun, but also more than this, a nice evocation of Brittany, landscapes, castels sea, and also like in all Keltic countries the fields that are never far from the sea (armor an argoat).
This simple composition is tight to a strong composition.
I like it

Hi Frank, Great shot!
Indeed it looks like it was fun ineed. great light and excelent POV here. It seems like a nice place to be...

Well done!
Take care, Stef :))

Yes, i remember when this castles where biger than me at the beach..they were magic seen by my children eyes :) And this caputure is very good, with your pov bringing a nice contrast with the hill in the background, loaning more depth to your image. Hope you had great holidays time Frank :)

I remember how charmed my wife was when I created my first sand castle for her. Same time of day, same expresssion. Beautifull play of shadows and light. You even got the background really pleasing, good work, Richard

Great photo of such a large sandcastle and the lovely glowing light adds a lot to this composition. Would have been nice if the sky had been blue, but there is not much one can do about the state of nature at the time of the shot. I like the expanse of beach that is shown here.

Ah yes, fun at the beach. Sandcastles, great imagination used in building these houses of sand. I like the lighting here Frank, looks like the sun is setting, it is low in the sky. Good composition with teh cliffs and hills in teh BG. Nice view, well done.

I like the late afternoon light. Great POV and a good capture of a wonderful time.

Alli

Good soft light. I could not have resisted getting realy close to the castle and create a bit of perspective distortion.

Pedro

Hi Frank,
captured well with the golden sun on the beach
