All the Words for Peace
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Peace, peace, peace over and over again in all the languages of the world, found on the monument on the end of the Champs de Mars in Place Joffre, opposite l'Ecole Militaire. It's ironic that such a monument is in such a war-like place. But there it is, in all it's beauty of language and hope for mankind. Taken from inside the monument, looking across Avenue de Motte Piquet toward l'Ecole Militaire.
As you can tell, I made it, I'm in PARIS!
ISO 1600, focal length 158.0 mm Contrast increased, photograph reversed so the words read correctly against l'Ecole Militaire. |

Very unusual and interesting picture with a great visual impact! Well done! Michel
Three levels. Window frame - strong matt black. 'Grafitti' and the classic architecture in the back. An image one has to really LOOK at to appreciate.
Thirds?
More Paris, please and no Tour d'Eifel or you die a terrible death - UNLESS it is different.

Very nicely composed, Lois. I really like the various layers you have captured, the window, the text, the bulding at the back and even a statue in between. Nicely framed as well with the bars in the windows. Excellent!
