Under Construction

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Along Quai Branley at the foot of the Eiffel Tower a lot of construction is going on hidden behind this wall, covered with original photos of the Eiffel Tower's construction. They are working on upgrading the pumbing and electrical connections I think. In any case, they've made a very big hole, although not quite big enough to bury the Tower. I'll need to go and look again to see what is really going on.
I have another view of this construction on Trekearth, if you'd like to compare them.
ISO 1600 (forgot to change from earlier photo), focal length 28.0 mm, framed, otherwise unmodified. |

I like this picture. The colors, and the position.
grat.

Nice image, Lois! Beyond the obvious. All duotone except for the machinery and the elevator, that's well seen. My only nit-pick is the tilt in the fence. But for the rest, job well done!
Nice shot, let say unusual and this is very nice, I like the dark colours with the red and yellow spot in between.
I did say no Eifel Tower unless it was different.
OK, this is different. My guess is that you took all the usual tourist shots as well and just did this one for us. Good choice.
It shows off the intricate 'lacework' construction but adds a lot. The red elevator, the yellow crane and the really daring part - a fence shielding more of the same from us. Cheeky!
On top of that - a photograph from history to add even more detail. Pretty clever LOLITRH!
Tomorrow - Louvre? Has to be I suppose. Arc de Triomphe? Possible.
