[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's one that has been sitting in my "to be published" folder for a long time. And to this day, I still don't know what to think of it.

The shot was taken 2 years ago at Place des Vosges in Paris. It is probably my favorite spot in this city of favorites. The sun was setting and creating a nice light on the east side of the place, which I increased(!) with some PP. By the way, the trees are real, not super-imposed on the shot.

PP Notes:
- Well, it's been so long that I don't remember all the steps, but it involved playing with Levels and Contrast a lot.

Let me know what you think!

Oh Pierre ... Place des Vosges ... Paris ... well, for sure, it's not the way I have it in my memories but still a wonderful version.

have a nice week-end

ps.Kind regards to Mr.Hugo

Very interesting shot Pierre! I simply like it, don't know why :) This tree "mask" looks really good, some would expect some ruin behind the trees, but this colorful building tells a "there's a light at the end of a tunnel" story very well.
Good work, regards and have a good weekend!
Robert

Hi Pierre,

The title could be "Encroachment."
This is mans destruction to nature. Here, we see nature screaming out in terror, as the silhoutted trees are perfect for this scene. That's my interpretation of this image.

Well done on the capture and composition.

Mike

Hi Pierre; I like this; these little branches like a carpet over the building; at the bottem line they become even thinner. This is the view of the hidden voyeur. His eyes becoming red of looking and spying.
Very good

Hi Pierre! you know how much I love the contrast and strong colours... and this is an YES! picture for me!

I will try a ws if you don't mind, because I feel "a l'aise" here:) I want to make more abstract from this one

have a good day!

Finalement ça donné une photographie intéressante. Tout ces branches d'arbres me font penser à certains tableaux de "Riopel".

I like the strong colours and contrast. I looked at the workshop and love that too.
Sorry, but my points ran out so early today.

I think I know what you are trying to achieve here. The lacery pattern of the tree branches are very nice but the dark windows neutralized it somehow. It works very well against the red and white background. I would even crop part of the left with a large dark area but leave part of the large tree trunk. Very nice "see thru" effect.

I find it a very lovely capture, almost abstract, I think you did well posting it is a very creative shot!

Beautifully composed photograph with an interesting point of view.

It seems like a vision from an escaped POW from his hideout.....

Thanks for sharing a nice shot.
