| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
My friend and 87-year old traveling companion, Catherine, was caught in a moment of comtempation of Paris from our hotel room window in Montmartre. She and I caught the travel bug late in life (Catherine at 56 and I at 40). It wasn't that we didn't want to travel, it was that there was no opportunity in our lives till then. Anyway, Catherine's husband hates to travel (some people just don't get the bug) so we combine forces to take our itchy feet to Europe twice a year and one of the trips is always to Paris in February or March. We have done that three times now, will do it again next year, God willing and the creek don't rise as the Kentucky mountain saying goes. I think this photo of her back is expressive of the way she feels about this wonderful city, Paris. Isn't remarkable how expressive backs can be?

Backs seem to be in vogue. Who started that! Silhouettes are always fashionable, so you have both here. Not much of the city to see, just a hint. Could be anywhere, of course ;)
This would mean more to you and Catherine so not sure how others will see it.
I am feeling more than generous, so will donate another 2 so that you crack 400 ;)
Great note!
I agree 100% her body language says it all, the way she's leaning is as if she's releasing a sigh, like she's in utter awe. I'm so jealous though, I would love to go to Paris once a year, EVERY YEAR! :) I just have my little Paris posters on my walls... one day! I have the travel bug... but not the travel money. ;) Really nice post Lois, with the colours and the dark outlines... looks amazing.

Hi Lois, I like this one a lot - in combination with your note it is a very nice story, but even without the note the photograph stands very well on its own.
