It is well of knowing that this old house is still inhabited. Your photo says much on the its age. It shows the rusticity of the places, the disalignment of the ground, the shutters typiques(I like the red particularly). Sign spring, the leaves which have just opened in the tree. A whole history behind this house, let us hope that its future is as long as its past! Well done John! Annie

Hi John,
I really like this shot my friend, especially the stonework. It seems all the different shapes and angles want to draw my eyes to different parts of the building. The minimal greenery gives a nice touch also. Great capture!

Hello John!
I give up (^_^). These old European architecs.... Nothing seems to be right(leveled) here!!! (LOL!)
Nice details of an old section of Ardeche. The Beauty of Time from Antony Yong submitted an interested shot from China..... Old construction modified over the years.
Image is crystal clear, with nice textures,a nd great light.
Well done....
So you are planning coming here, in my hometown my friend, without telling me ....MMmmmmmmhhhhh ?
FYG, I will be on duty June 10-17th and from June 24-25-26 for the St-Jean-Baptiste weekend. ( Sadly the week-end of the Canadian GP in Montreal )On Canada Week-end , We will be heading to Annie's paradise (^_^) in Grande-Vallée.
Cheers!
Robert

Aw shucks! :D Thanks, John! No, I've NEVER seen anything this old - well, maybe the Mayan ruins, but nothing in an urban setting. You sure do know your historical facts! Yep, our oldest city is St. Augustine, and Ponce de Leon is the explorer you're looking for, I believe.
You're standing in just the right spot again! Composition is perfect, in my opinion, and the textures and color make this such an interesting picture!
Bravo and thanks!
Gayle :)

Very nice with all those little plants who give life. But my parents never believe me when i said herbs give life in the crack of the patio... We have to remove them and it was borring :)
Architecture is well presented!

Dag John,
Heel mooie compositie met veel sfeer
Hi John,
Very nice photo, i like the architecture and the texture of this old house. You capture it with great sharpness and colors. very well done.
For June I would prefer going to trois-rivières and Québec City. Niagara is an 8 hours drive a little too far away for a short trip.
It will be a pleasure to meet you again with Yolanda and also Robert, Martine, Yan and Ben.
Cheers

Hallo John.
Zeer mooi hoekje met een bijzondere kleur.
Persoonlijk zou ik de ramen er boven weg laten wat het geheel dan nog sterker maakt.
Groet Frans

I love it John. All those lovely crooked steps and walls. Excellent textures, great colours and well presented. TFS,

PS Many thanks for your comment on Norfolk Plains I We get some nice fine wools down here John worth some $17 million to the TAsmanian economy. Japanese in particular are the bigger buyers paying up to $17,000 for a 200KG bale.
