The 'other side' of the Pont d' Arc
Working wit my presentation of the Ardeche and Provence, I rememberd I was at the same spot a year before, the first year I had mu digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix 880.. and photo's saved on CD rom. So.. here we stand on the ''other side''! Most photo's taken by Tourists are from this side.. and if you look close you can see trough the Arch the road from where I made my other photo's in here For one of them ..
Here we where showing friends from South Africa
the Provence..

You see on left; my Sister and French brother in law, Yolanda on back than James from Cape Town (Glynis, wife of James went away for a discrete*pipi* )and my other brother in law William(Dutch) (is that intersesting to you ..lol.. well it looks polite to introduce them )

I will add an enlargement of the Pont we see here in Workshop

Thanks for popping in Folks
Kind regards

Hi John,
This is another great view of this river, This time from the bottom. The canoe add a nice dimension so we can see how high this cliff is. very well done.
Cheers
Luc

Hi John,

A lovely view from this side of the river too!
Beautiful green trees & the water looks so refreshing!

Very well done :)

G'day John

The canoes really give a clear understanding of the sclae of the place. Very polite to introduce your family besides we would have ask why the people were in the foreground anyway.

Keep smiling summer is coming
Gideon

Hi John, the road is very well enclosed in your arch. It must have been impressive to see this.

Here in Quebec we have the Rocher Perce, but I know there are many rochers perces around the world :) And this is another example. They are always renewed natural beauties.

And the river going underneath is another natures' delight.

Very well done and it is nice to see Yolanda and your family.

Take care, Yan :)

Such a big and powerful image, John!
Love this wall of a clif and the little boats passing the arch!
Great light and the blue-green of the river!
Nice to meet your family, John, you are being very polite:)
thanks and have a great day, karina:)

Hi John,
The colors are awesome. The sharpness is also great. Very well taken. I like it :)
Cheers,
Mohammad

Hi John

An interesting view of this amazing rock arch. It reminds me of Moon Hill in Yangshuo, China. Good color & reasonable sharpness. Perhaps I would burn in the strong fg highlights? Tfs!

Hi John,

It is nice to see this viewpoint, and the sheer vastness of the arch, the boats make that obvious. Good view!

Hi John, well done. A great nature in this beautiful land.

Any side you look at, is excellent! Fantastic colors and the lighting, even though very harsh, is very well controlled. Nicely balanced composition and presentation.
Greetings my good friend.

PS Many thanks for your comment on Princes Square I
It is actually an old church John dating back to the mid 1800's. I really couldnt be bothered trying to straighten anymore :)

Lol! So nice of you to want to be polite to all of us! :D

An interesting view of the "other side." I like your workshop too, because we get an idea of how massive this arch is.

Gayle :)

Beautiful, John. Thatnk you for your notes. You bring us such beuatiful images from so many places. I also love all the people you introduce us too. You and Yolanda are excellent entertainers and hosts to so many. You both must be very well loved by so many:-)

Thank you for the introduction to your family and friends...but they are turning their backs on us! LOL! ...and I am sure that your friend Glynis would be delighted to read that you have told us where she is!
Anyway, it is nice to see the other side of the arch. It looks a very pretty place with that lovely green water and beautiful trees and rocks. It turned out well in the rather harsh lighting of bright sun, but we can clearly see the nice view. TFS
Cheers Joan

Another great view John.
I like the way you have included the group in the foreground which helps in establishing scale. Great Exposure, contrast and colour, lovely scene.
Best wishes

HI JOHN!
What a magical place to be!
You have captured all the beauty of it!
Congratulations.
Luci

This is a dream-like photo. The place looks so wonderfully unreal. The water colors are amazing. People let us see the relativity of nature. TFS.

Hello John,

it's a very nice place there (we've been there for holidays on the camping). I wonder why nobody in the written critics didn't mention the over-exposure on some parts of the shot (especially on the sand).

greetings,

Luc.
