My hobby is birding and sharing wild birds pictures on the net. These are mainly taken in the wild an it requires patience and long term observation. For a change, I went last friday to Paris, with a tele just in case. To my surprise I found a small parc (Square des Batignolles) with many water birds evoluating freely on the pond and around.
While gathering some shots of exotic ducks, I noticed two gulls (Larus Ridibundus), quite common in our cities now, playing a kind of nuptial parade. It's not precisely the season for that, but, you now, it' Paris...
I took a few shots for the fun, and it ended with this one, where the illusion of a mirror is amazing.
Hope you'll like it.

Jean,
A dramatic shot here. Good shallow DOF and great capture of the pose. I particularly like the kness of the birds. I guess thats where they get the term "bird legs"!
Nice shot with your 20D!
Scott

Bonjour Jean,
Excellent DOF. Bravo! Annie

Hello Jean Michel. Somehow, this image evokes emotion from me in a pleasant way. I like the bird's expression, but I think the tones, bokeh and overall composition really make this special.

wow, it's true, the illusion is great, nice shot.
:)
