Dramatic capture horribly underrated. Facial expressoin a bit too much context but it should be far higher ranked. Good job!
This is very sharp and I like the capture of poses and facial expressions. I think one of the reasons this is underrated is because of the use of flash (i don't know what it is but flash takes away from the other wonderful elements of the photo) and because it's a photo of women doing something they love that involves sports (a stereotypically masculine activity) and they do not fit the narrow beauty standards that are reinforced in those "artistic" half nudy shots on the site. Just my two cents, but Texan is right in that maybe you could have cropped a little more to focus on just the three or one player(s). TFS!

Patrice,
This photo may be underrated but on the other hand it was over-hyped and brought into a forum from someone begging for a review.
I see 5 players. The main subject is a bit centered.
4 faces.
1 affected by a shallow DOF (not badly) 1 with her back the us, oblivious of a photo being taken. 2 with the top of their heads cropped off by a heavy black frame (I don't like frames). TWO faces showing great intensity. I do not know the rules of handball but it surely seems like it'd be a foul to plunge ones hand into another's collarbone. I also wonder why some sports allow you to use a flash while others do not. Technically, it's NOT a superb picture, it is worthy of posting on TL though.
Fill flash is a bit much but understandably used because of the gymnasium setting.
Overall its a fair shot.

Underrated yes i agree.
We see well the dramatic of the action.
She will lose the ball and we see in the background partner who can't help for the precise moment. Sharp with a good blur distance effect on the background.
I agree, This is a fabulous photo, but not alot of talk about it...too bad Patrice....but if you interact and get to know people, then you get friends, who check on you everyday....it takes a while to "boot-up"...keep shooting!
B-)
