I was watching birds in the floody marsh, when I heared a strange chirping.
I followed the sound, expecting to find some strange animal. But what I finally discovered was this hole in the ditch, where the water ran furiously. |

I like the way you've composed this, with the hole off-centre and the lack of any objects to act as a frame. It makes it very abstract indeed. It could almost do with having some colour added in post-processing.
Great abstract image Aline! I just love how rich and almost metallic-looking the reflections on the surface of the water are. Wonderful contrasts and rich tonalites, and the lighting used is really beautiful. I like how the reflections become more distorted as you get closer to the whirlpool. Really nice contrasts between the warm sepia-browns and the deep cool grays in the reflections that makes the shot even more dynamic. Good idea to place this whirlpool off-center and near the bottom left corner, although maybe I would have cropped just a tad off the top to create more balance. Excellent shot, very creative, well-seen, and expressive. It's like visual poetry! TFS!
