This is the famous Pointe Du Hoc.
The picture was taken from the Utah Beach side with focus on the barbed wire.
You can imagine how dificult it will have been for the US Army Rangers to climb the rocks and pass by the fence while being under a furious fire by the Germans.

Dat is een mooie Tom !
Goeie keuze om die prikkeldraad in de focus te zetten. Het grijzige van de achtergrond zet heel het, triestige, verhaal in de verf.

Ervan profiteren zolang die klip er nog staat - in de bunker mag je al een tijdje niet meer in wegens inkalving...
Mooi gedaan met die prikkeldraad, Tom. Je laat ook goed het strand zien waar de Rangers zijn geland en waar ze met ladders en klimhaken naar boven moesten.
Je zult je sensor toch eens moeten kuisten: dust bunnies onder de H van Hoc...
