[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
If you walk in humid places, you will be able to find the triton newt "Triturus Alpestris", a common type of batracians in our regions. They are always close to stagnant waters (a little pond, a water puddle). They can be found up to an altitude of 2400m (hence their name) and measure about 15cm. Males have beautiful colors (vivid blue and black spots on the side and the vertebral line). Females are bigger, with grey/brown colors. Both have an orange underbelly. They lay about 150 eggs under aquatic plants, to be hatched 10 days later. This female was found in a humid part of our garden. One of Mark's shots Where is she? gave me idea to answer to that question. Just put her on a garden table. Coming from a cold environment, they are a bit numb. She walked slowly up to the edge, right on for a few shots of Juliette responding to her Romeo bug... and back in the pond!

A sensational capture Jean. Very very close and a great composition. I also like the pure white background without distraction. Very well done.
PS: Princey is in trouble after jumping our fence and troubling the neighbours... crazy Borders... ;)

WOW...this is simply amazing. The details and textures on the subject are just wonderful. I also like the washed out background as it adds a lot to the image. This is simply amazing. Very well done!

very good :) I liked the expression on his face as much as the perfection in the details..he is really funny when seen with your notes..thanks...

Jean this is a beautiful macro, with incredible detail and wonderful colours, the textures in this image are excellent, and the angle gives it some drama. I like your title "I'm here, My love" in response to the little bug - "...My love"? I think this Juliette looks a little, well...Hungry! and I don't think it is for love...maybe, just maybe, it is for a MEAL! Lol.
Wonderfully captured Jean, I love it.

Great macro Jean-Michel! A new interest?
I definetely like the chosen low point of view here. So close and so sharp, with a very nice desappearing background, it looks almost like "she" is telling you something? ;o)
Please keep sending...

This is great, JM. He looks like Kermit from the Muppet's show, and it is well lit, almost transparent. Very nice color. Well done.

Wow. Great macro. The DOF is very good. You have captured this triton very well. Excelent job Jean.

I've see all your photos here and liked all ... mainly the subject, i love dogs ... congrats ... and the qualities are superb !!!

A question ... Do you use only de F717 to take these photos or use some lenses, macro may be ... ?? I have a mavica CD1000 with 10x zoom and would like to be able to take genial photos like yours ...

Excellent cette macro, sujet adorable. Cadrage, couleurs, netteté sont parfaites.
J'aime surtout ce flou en diagonale de l'image. Bien joué -F-
