[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There are a lot of old towers in the Dordogne region. These were in a state of ruin in 1983.

Another attempt at copying an old Agfacolor slide by digital camera.

This time I used a +3 dioptre close up lens on my Fuji camera, with the zoom lens set on macro at about 75mm focal length. Illuminated by a "daylight" tungsten bulb and opal diffuser.

The EXIF data here applies to the copying camera.

PP in PS elements Photofiltre and FastStone.

I must confess to manufacturing a sky here, using a colour gradient, as the original was completely white.

Hello (again) Peter,
I like the idea of having copied an old slide, but, to be honest, I am not quite convinced about the way you worked things out. Whereas the colours of the landscape are mysterious, the sky you added seems "over the top" to me. Like those old postcards of the sixties with their vivid but unreal colours. Nostalgia, but not really beautiful (at least in my humble opinion). In this case, I would have compensated the difficulty of giving colour to the sky by using old looking tones, like sepia. Perhaps, I'll try Workshop to show you what I mean, even if I think it's not easy at all to propose a valuable WS to someone I consider as a "skilled workshopper" ;-)
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
