for the squirrels, small rodent, wild pigeons and turkeys in certain countries. Here the last food which the autumn leaves so that they can make of the reserves before the winter.
We went to Angers, city bordered by the river, the Loire, and while returning from our drive, the still good weather, enabled us to stop, and to eat our lunch with a table on a area of motorway.
Here is my picking under oaks, some acorns which I positioned with leaves and branches fallen to make a photograph to remember the splendid colors of this season to us.

-------------------------------------------------------

The oak:

Tree of the family of the cupuliferes, family of trees which have their fruit crimped in a cup (kind of cut which surrounds the flower or the fruit of certain plants.
It is the most widespread species in Europe. It is a large tree with hard wood whose fruit is the acorn.
The oak has leaves known well in "lobes". They are null and void leaves it's with saying leavess which fall in autumn and others push back next spring. Recognizable by its twisted branches its lobed leaves.
It can exceed 1000 years and reach up to 40 m. The oak with its fruits with maturity between October and November. Its wood is very appreciated in industry of the piece of household good and for the frames.

Bonsoir Corinne :)
Belle macro d'automne !

Bon WE à toi et à tes proches.
Amicalement

Lovely image Corinne... great POV.

Regards Mark :)

Hi corinne corinne :)
I remember this fruit, its mostly found in hilly regions in india and is often termes as the 'groundnut of the squirrels' although grows on tree.
