[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Birds offer sometimes beautiful ballet-like shows in the sky.
Here, it is the case with a female Hen Harrier - Circus cyaneus (latin), Busard Saint Martin (French), Blauwe kiekendief (Dutch), Kornweihe (German), Albanella reale (Italian), Aguilucho palido (Spanish), Bla Karrhok (Swedish), Polevoy Lun (Russian).

TECH TIPS
I generally shoot still birds on RAW files, camera set on one shot, aperture priority, and one AF sensor. Here, due to the speed of this bird, I've used the "sport" mode. This presets the camera @400 ISO, speed priority and focuses with the help of the first sensor detecting the subject. Files are automatically converted in JPEG.
This means more shots in focus, but no exposure compensation (useful when you have a dark bird on a clear sky) and less leeway for a non destructive postprocessing whenever necessary.

Hi Jean,
Great shot, good colours and details an interesting note and well positioned in the frame.
Just a little tip that was passed onto me when posting a portrait picture and that is to post the hight at 600 and not 800 so that the picture fits the frame better.

Well done
Regards Andy

Wow! Re-bonjour Jean-Michel,
