Hi Silke - well composed, lovely sharpness where is matters and the colours are excellent. Try as i might I can't make any sugggestions for improvement :-)

It's an interesting topic, "most famous war poem". Into the ring I'd throw...

Hi Silke, I have indeed seen the BBC presenters wear a red poppy on that day and it was only later that I knew why.
Beautiful to use that wild flower to remember.........

"...Coincidence is when Gods decides to remain anonymous...", perhaps he never wants us to forget the brave soldiers who laid their lives for us to breathe in freedom today; anyways we ourselves must remember them...this shot is not a coincidence its surely a timely tribute to all of them before the end of the day and forever!

Here they are more commun in a red plastic veterent sold at the corner of the street. But yes i remember the signification even if i never live a war. And i don't want to!
Well catch in a good precision! The light of the sun give him even happy reflection of a good day even the sad of the message :)

the flower is extremely symbolic. Your photo shows perfect details and colors..... every year I replace the veterans paper poppy in my car... to support our local Veterans... forget me not in the spring and the red poppy in the fall....

Now this time of year I tend to forget my 2 years of active duty and remember my AWOL...I did it with my mother's Quaker roots in mind. But I felt badly for my friends who were injured and one old music student who died over there...fortunately I still have one good old friend from back the. He was a Navy Seal in Nam...and came back to protest war..

This is absolutely beautiful The light shining on the poppy is perfect and the colours are vivid and bright. The choice and style of frame for this lovely poppey enhances the image perfectly.

I"m impressed that you managed to get such a good shot of a poppy. We were in France during poppy season this year and found the things almost impossible to capture. Being so small and fragile, they moved out of focus in the slightest breath of air. So well done! The note you've written is interesting - I hadn't understood the link between poppies and remembrance before.
