[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
[B&W conversion, crop, a little contrast added]

Basically, the countryside of north-eastern France isn’t spectacular. But if you take the time to discover it by walking through its endless fields and forest, you may find almost graphical sceneries that are interesting for a photographer. I thought black & white was an appropriate choice to emphasis the minimalism of this (green) landscape. Do you agree?

La campagne du nord-est de la France n’est pas particulièrement spectaculaire. Mais si on prend le temps de parcourir à pied ses vastes champs et forêts, on découvre des endroits aux allures presque graphiques, qui font la joie du photographe. J’ai pensé que le noir et blanc convenait bien pour souligner le minimalisme de ce paysage par ailleurs verdoyant. Un bon choix?

Het platteland in het noordoosten van Frankrijk is niet bepaald spectaculair. Maar als je de tijd neemt te voet de eindeloze velden en bossen te doorkruisen, ontdek je soms haast grafische landschappen, die wel een fotootje waard zijn. Ik koos voor zwartwit om het minimalisme van deze – overigens groene – plek extra in de verf te zetten. Een goede keuze?

Critiques [Translate]

Apart zo in z/w Erik, ik vind het wel geslaagd, had voor mij wel iets meer contrast gmogen hebben, maar dat is een kwestie van smaak. verder een goede comp en scherp.

yes, this is a very interesting view for photos.
the figure of dead tree makes nice contrast with feeding cow, and gray field and black forest are tasteful in this B&W picture.

Très jolie composition en Noir & Blanc, beau contraste et prise de vue, belle perpective du champ et de la clôture, les arbres morts et le mouton balance super bien ta composition, Mes Salutations et amicalement.

Hallo Erik,
Deze foto valt me nu pas op, shame on me...
Mooi wijds beeld, waarbij het grasland mooi in perspectief staat als een zijde van een driehoek.
De twee objecten, boom en koe, trekken uiteraard de aandacht. Het geheel is een mooi rustig beeld, waar het fijn is om naar te kijken. Hoewel zwart/wit, kan ik mij een goede voorstelling maken van de foto in kleur (zegt misschien iets over mijn voorstellingsvermogen..)

Ik hou ervan :
de open plek " mooi " strak door de mens gemaakt, die lichtere strook met de weipalen
Allemaal ferme lijnen.
De boomstronk en de koe doorbreken deze strakheid.
Vind het een geslaagde foto en je keuze voor B/W is volgens mij de juiste

ik mis toch ook wel contrast en de foto komt wat scheef over.. de compo is prima de luxe

this photo is amaising, so simple but so abstract in one.i think the point of view is ideal, as well as the fact it is horizontal, it makes the story longer :o)
