Good shot - very restrained in its composition, but very telling. The policeman's shadow is intriguing - does he have his fingers in his ears?

C'est vrai qu'il y a là un problème qu'il est bon de rappeler, et je souscris totalement à ce genre d'initiative, mais je ne vois pas le rapport entre le policier qui fait son travail dans la cadre d'une manifestation et ce que vous appelez le "contraste", car il n'y a ici de violence nulle part, que je sache. Et si, toutefois, vous en voyez, ce policier que l'on ne voit que de dos pourrait être une femme....
Cela dit, la photo est bonne, mais orientée et pas très courageuse.

I love this series of photos, with such massive and even disturbing contrast between the policeman with his gun and the brightly coloured message of the banner. The shadow that the policemen cast on the words... And yet they themselves remain anonymous, we only see the weapons and uniforms they carry. Protectors or menaces, still hard to tell.
I wonder how on earth and why you got to the opposite side of the barrier.
It's a very strong photo, and really requires an eye for taking it!

great image Sylvie and I can not admit that there is just a few comment under it!
The red for me here is the violence... and the gun of the policeman... Perfect composition that enhances the message.

Salut Sylvie,
Excellente couverture de l'actu;) une simple photo qui résume bien la situation actuelle de notre pays, lorsqu'au nom de l'ordre la force prend le pas sur les droits de chacun.
Mais attention en manifestant de ne pas s'approcher trop près quand même, les quotas d'expulsions ne sont pas encore atteints!

hello princesse.
C'est vrai que le policier armé est difficile à concevoir, normalement il ne devrait pas porter son arme car dans une bousculade on pourrait lui emprunter.
Est-ce une erreur de sa part ou un ordre reçu, je penche plus sur la deuxième "ordre reçu ".
Tu sais le plus dangereux ce n'est pas ce policier avec son arme mais les policiers qui sont en civile dans la foule.
Je crois que l'on pourrait en discuter de longues heures sur ce sujet.
Pour la photo elle est excellente, cette banderole rouge contraste terriblement avec le noir de l'habit du policier. C'est une réussite et je te dis bravo.

Belle photo de type journalistique ou de propagande.Tout à fait d'accord.Combien de femmes battues à chaque année,combien de femmes violentées,abusées sexuellement ou simplement froidement assassinées par des hommes immatures,la plupart du temps.Jolie photo qui parle par elle-même.Joyeux Noël, Sylvie!
