Hi Joos,

Heerlijk hoe je het karakteristieke van de stokstaartkoppies hebt gevangen - altijd heen en weer aan het kijken en bijzonder alert! Fijn dat de ogen het licht mooi reflecteren - maakt het extra levendig.
Ik denk dat ik ze alledrie een even grote ruimte had gegeven.
Was het leuk in Frankrijk?

Fast moving animal and always in a group . .
Well captured and composed . .
I like the middle picture, but a bit blur . . it may be it moves the head faster . .

Mmm... Nee Josine, voor mij werkt het niet. Ik zal even proberen uit te leggen waarom niet...

Eerst en vooral, in tegenstelling tot wat eerder werd gezegd, de scherpte is niet ok. Wel voor het linkse dier, daar zijn de ogen perfect scherp. Het middelste is redelijk, het rechter dier is "gered" door oververscherping - en daar hebben de andere portretten ook onder te lijden, wat vooral opvalt in de witte gedeelten van de pels.

Dan zijn er de verschillen in uitsnede van het diertje: halve bil, kwart bil en geen bil. Enkel het hoofdje is wat gedraaid, wat op zich wel leuk is maar qua variatie vind ik dat wat mager. Wellicht zou dat wel werken als je je meer op de kopjes had geconcentreerd, veel dichter had bijgesneden dus.

Het is meer gezegd, de oneven grootte van de elementen van je triptiek, en bovendien het feit dat je die beestjes eigenlijk geen ruimte hebt gegeven in de frames. Dat zou wel werken als je, bijvoorbeeld, die kopjes bovenop het volgende frame zou leggen, zodat ze als het ware komen kijken in het nevenliggende shot...

Ten slotte nog wat technische muggenzifterij: het buitenste frame wijkt te hard af van de bevel die je gebruikte naar mijn idee; in die bevel gebruik je verschillende diktes onder, boven en verticaal, en in de bovenste bevel mist er een lijntje of twee net boven de scheidingslijn tussen beelden 1 en 2. Rechtsonder is er ook ineens een witter stukje te zien.

Wat ik wel mooi vind is de presentatie, met die witte tekst op dat zachte grijs. Met 1 opmerking, de apostrof bij Photo's is er teveel aan.

De lichaamshouding van het stokstaartje is verrassend, we zijn immers gewend aan de rechtopstaande uitkijkhouding. Daarom vind ik het jammer dat je het dier niet in z'n geheel hebt getoond.

Zo, dat is het wel een beetje. Ben benieuwd wat men hier op je fotoclub van heeft gezegd...

Mooi gedaan, zo in dat frame. Geinig beestje ook.
Misschien was het nog leuker geweest als de middelste een staande positie was geweest. In de foto's komt het stokstaardje mooi los van de achtergrond.

I do indeed think you did it right. I love the 3 positions and how they are all just a bit different. Each has got the eye well in focus and the animal is so very cute. One of the favorite animal shows here is Meerkat Manor, whose only actors are Meerkats. Well done.
