Yep, can't deny that the famous Eiffel Tower is a true work of Heavy-Metal art ☺. So is this monument near the Military School, we passed it on our walk through the Champ de Mars.

When I saw La Grande Dame through the monument I just couldn't resist shooting her again...

Please follow the Map: [view] link, it will bring you to the spot where a Panoramia photographer took an overview of the monument. Google Earth users: 48°51'11"68 N and 2°18'08"51 E. The letters are created by the sunlight passing through glass panels with multilingual epigraphs.

Tech talk

In camera compo, but straightened the perspective and lens distortion (well, most of it, anyway).

Levels, Shadows & Highlights - my standard tools.

Downsized and framed with some home-made PS actions.

Sorry for being a bit inactive lately - my PC became very naughty and I had to re-install Windows XP and all that indispensable software >:-((
It's in tip-top shape again now!

Hello Frank good creative Eiffel tower shot, well framed with the two buildings. Vertically well adjusted nice and sharp and good DOF. tfs rgds Necip.

Unusual POV indeed! The Grand Lady never fails to impress , the number of tourists it has attracted since its completion is huge! Clear sky ,a gorgeous day what else is there more to say, lucky you were for being there, not much snow in Paris this February it appears , we're buried in it here in Montreal ...lol,
TFS ,
Carol

Hello Frank

Different vision of the Torre Eiffel.
Until then I had not seen shots different from the usual ones, here you give me a beautiful vision and a new form of seeing the tower!
The metal wall is beautiful, I think to be brushed steel.
The natural light is wonderful
your picture has high quality.
Congratulations

Sérgio

Hello Frank!

Difficult to avoid to shoot the iron Lady when you travel to Paris. But you did wll taking here differently.

Well seen and captured mon ami.

One day , Martine and will will see it ourselves. Yep , it is a shame , but we did not go together across the pond....
It is among many of our projects. This year is not possible . The Euro is too strong and our budget is too small (LOL !)
Cheers!
Robert

Frank die letter intrigeren me bijzonder.

Impressive POV Frank, nice use of the buildings as frames to put the Eiffel tower in its element.

Very good metering, great use of the polariser to get such deep saturation of the sky.

Great work
Rew

Hey Frank,

I like it!

Hi Frank,
I've even seen it in person but haven't seen this creative view before. The framing by the monument makes for an interesting perspective of a fairly familiar photo target and makes it all very interesting again. (Not that "the Tower" is ever boring, just "been there, done that")
Nice work, TFS,
Wilt
