While going for a walk at the flower store, I succumbed to the originality of this poppy with blackheads ... a poppy-ladybird :o)

The red is intense and delicate.

But it is also a symbol in Dieppe, a tribute to our Canadian cousins, that on August 19th, 1942 drew of their blood on the beach of Dieppe the way of our final liberation so auguring their victorious return of September 1st, 1944.

It is on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the landing in Normandy (in June 6th, 1944), that millions of petals of poppies were thrown by air on all Normandy and in the Atlantic Ocean.

The image of these petals of poppies represented the victims of the war.

Poppy is also this wild flower of red and black color that withers as soon as we extract it from freedom ...

Around the world it is Poppy, Klatschmohn or Feldmohn, Rosolaccio or Papavero, Amapola or Ababol :)

In the language of flowers, the poppy embodies the fragile heat :o)

your note is really great.. many thanks.. "papavero" is the name in italian.. but i haven't seen a poppy like this.. black stains are unusual here.. i really like also the interior.. so detailed and big!! really a good post to rememeber something important.. looking to your title i have thought at the begininnig you would like to dedicate this shot to coquelicot79 (corinne).. ;)
