[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
St Martin de Re, is "the capital" of the Isle of Rhé. It's also one of the finest examples of military architecture of the late 17 th century. The port and the Citadel have been fortified by VAUBAN in 1681.

The city is very pleasant to discover but preferably, bicycle, on foot, you can also go around the walls, the port until Penitentiary.
Saint Martin de Re on the road to the penal colony. From 1852, when put into place the transportation to bagnes overseas, 1938, date of the last arrivals for French Guiana, approximately 100 000 were sentenced to New Caledonia and especially to Guyana.


St Martin de Re, is now also very popular for its shops and its beautiful harbour genuine and always lively.

So here is a foretaste of what will visit our friend Hans GreenBaron just spend a few days in our region at the end of this week (I promise that this will not hard labour but the trek that I would reserve ;OD )

Tout a l'air bien calme malgré cette belle température, mais ou sont passé les marins ? Belle prise de vue de cet endroit riche en histoire . L'eau calme donne d'excellente réflection des bâtiments . Une bien belle présentation mon amie .

Bonjour Corinne,
Une jolie vue sur ce port! Le soleil semblait taper fort, mais tu as su fort bien gérer la lumière. Très belle scène où les bateaux attendent sagement de prendre la mer.
Meilleures salutations à Hans, le chanceux d'avoir une charmante guide du cru, juste pour lui!

Bonjour Corinne,
What a fine harbour image, great how these reflections show. Perfect brightness no OE is observed in the bright areas. An attractive place! So here we are going to taste oysters and white wine? Looking forward to it.
