St Émilion and the Man with the Nikon
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Just inside the ramparts of the ancient city of Vannes stands this statue of St. Émilion.
St. Émilion was born in Vannes in Brittany, but settled as a hermit in a village in Bordeaux which now bears his name.
In this digital age his statue attracts a lot of photographic attention.
Taken as JPEG: PP in PS 7 and FastStone. |

Peter..
This show us how the "other" see us! Perfect timing.. The group all seems to have a different reaction to his POV... Nice light and your pov works as well to tell the story!

Hello, Peter.
A very nice picture of the photographer caught on camera.
Quite a brave chap, by the look of things, taking his picture pretty much directly into the sun. You have done very well too, managing the very bright sunlight in this one: there are great contrasts between bright sunlit white to dark shadows and yet none of your white areas show any signs of being "blown out" and there are still lots of details seen in the darkest places. Good colours and sharpness too.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.
Hello Peter, a good PoV for this shot.
I like all the different 'poses' of the people with a variety of facial expressions!
Good composition with the path on the diagonal.
Well managed light and sharp details.
Tfs, regards Jean.
