Belle perpective et prise de vue de ce joggeur qui coure avec beaucoup d'efforts, Excellent Point de vue et détails de ce magnifique endroit, Belle profondeur de champ et netteté ,jolies couleurs naturelles et très belle verdure.
Superbe paysage. bonne soirée.

The thumbnail bothered me, it looked like a snapshot ...

Looking at the full shot, I like it better although there are two - no, three! - elements that bother me.

One is the bank on the right hand side. It feels like an intrusion, it may as well be your blurred hand half across the shot for all that it adds to the photo. It would be far nicer to see the road stretching off into distance; a few steps to your left would have allowed that POV.

The second is the grey zone of sky at the top of the frame. Somehow it detracts - how would this look if you'd used a letterbox frame, cropping top and bottom?

The third is the fact that it's the back of the jogger. This is my opinion only but shots in the back, be it in combat or photography, are the "coward's option." So much more rewarding to see the toil and strain on the jogger's face!

All is just my opinion and you are welcome to agree/disagree. I like it overall, but I think you can do, and have done, much better than this.

Erik, ik ben niet zeker van de witbalans hier... Kijk, de jogger en de weg vind ik heel natuurlijk weergegeven, dat wel. Het dichtstbijzijnde stuk land kan er, hoewel in mijn ogen wat onderbelicht, zeker mee door al lijkt dus het wat donker.
Maar het landschap in de achtergrond, dat toch een derde van de foto beslaat, grof geschat, kan best wat meer contrast gebruiken vind ik. En wat de kleur van de lucht betreft, die associeer ik niet met het middaguur.
Goed, het kan aan m'n ogen liggen... ik zal morgen nog 's kijken om zeker te zijn.
Intussen herhaal ik graag wat je zelf altijd schrijft: het is mijn mening, ik kan me vergissen en je hoeft het niet met me eens te zijn haha.
Alleszins, ik kijk morgen met een frisse kop opnieuw.

Hi Erik,
It is an interesting shot, the thumbnail caught my eye. As others have pointed out already, the message or the focus in this one is kind of ambivalent. The viewer does not know if we are to concentrate on the landscape or on the runner. However, I still find it interesting. I don't mind the view of the runner from behind, only that the main elements of the picture are not in harmony for me. Still a good photo.

un cadrage bien vu, je trouve, le paysage me fait penser à Epernay en Champagne,
un petit bout en trop à droite, oui ça coupe la perspective, en haut, ça se discutte, moi j'aime bien
la "coward option", c'est pas ce que je ressens, car on ne focalise pas que sur le jogger, il y a le paysage aussi... c'est une combinaison de deux éléments d'importance plutôt égale
le timing donne une pose intéressante et dynamique,
de toute façon c'est pris sur le vif, alors on ne va pas chipoter, soit ça marche, soit ça ne marche pas, alors c'est peut-être parce que j'adore les photos prise dans les grands espaces remplis de champs de vignes, mais je trouve que ça fonctionne bien,

Je lokt me altijd uit m'n kot ...

Om te beginnen zou ik 1/4 van de foto afsnijden -
vanboven - geeft volgens mij toch meer compositie
én dat valt het minder op dat er soort van mist hangt.
Om dit nog wat meer te verhelpen, zou ik zeker de groene
partijen wat oplichten ( dit was " vervolgens " )
Om te eindigen ... ( pfff )
misschien had een lager POV, tov de jogger, een nog sterker
beeld geven ( hoor je de appriciatie ? ... )
maar ja, die blijft natuurlijk niet voor jou even " hangen "
;-)

I'm responding a bit late since this posting, omdat ik volzit met een bureau teksten die vertaald moeten worden en ik niet veel tijd heb gehad of heb in de komende maand voor mijn hobbies....

Bedankt voor je inclusie in je "The Art of Critiquing" public group, soms vind ik mezelf een beetje te langdradig, maar tja, ik wil toch mijn mijn mening zorgvuldig uiten en niet "zomaar wat maar zeggen". Vandaar ik erg weinig gallerijen kan bezoeken in een dag.

Over je photo, schiet ik terug in het Engels...
I read the critiques and your response to them before writing this. My initial gut reaction is always composition then color, followed by light...the more technical aspects are still a learning experience for me.
I always like what Rew says, but this time I didn't agree with 1.5 of his comments. Yes, the foreground is a bit distraction with this crop, but I think it could be better put to use (this is the .5 part). The lighting (haziness) in the background, the gray/grey is, however, more of a distraction for me. The color in the foreground isn't helped by this contrast...I think only the contrast of the terrein in the middleground (the first farms) is an interesting contrast in color/focus. About shooting in the back...I cannot take photos of people at all. I have the same coward problem you discussed with Rew and although I haven't told him this yet, I regularly look at what he's doing with portrait photography because I need to get over my portrait handicap and he does seem to be applying what he learns along the way.
But still, I do think that this POV of the human body can also convey a message, why not? The runner himself isn't the subject of this image for me, it's the concept of travelling a path, meeting challenges, crossing boundaries or 'running into the sunset' als het ware...
Therefore I would argue that some people should be shot in the back LOL.
I agree with what Janneman said too, but can best address that with a workshop I will now take some time to work on. It's just a crop. The solution I would consider for the foreground is to use triangles all over the place. I think you can see it better with a crop.

Bonjour Erik,

Beaux contrastes (mouvements, couleurs, netteté).
Entre le joggeur (qui bouge) et l'arrière plan (statique)
Entre les couleurs vives du runner et celles plus pales du paysage.
Entre la netteté de l'avant plan et le BG.

Et aussi , pour rire, entre le photographe (lazy) et le jogger!!!
