An old mill
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Last winter, I went to the "Salon du Cheval" in Paris, with some friends. When we stopped, somewhere in the countryside, between Paris and Soissons, early in the morning, we had a wonderful sunrise behind a wonderful old mill - looked like a postcard picture, so I HAD to take some photos. Here is the best one. I'm quite proud of it, even if I know it's far from perfect.
What do you think about it - honest comments, please ! :-) |

Hi Valerie,
An honest comment. :)
The scenery is wonderful, the dusk colours look awsome and your POV was nice too, from where you captured this old mill. Just one remark: I think sharpness could be a bit better, perhaps the light conditions didn't allow shorter shutter that's why the little unsharpness. But never mind, not really serious and overall I like this calm and peaceful photo. TFS.
Friendly greetings,
Kristof

Yes, a real picture postcard scene. How exciting for you...
It is a little un-sharp, but I like your POV Valerie and also the colours from the low sun.
Nicely done
Janice
It is indeed a postcard photo. I'm surprise you didn't get many points for this.
I like how the rotating blade filling up diagonally across the frame.
Have to agree with the first two comments though, while this is a great shot, it would've been perfect if it was sharper.
And from the aperture you're using, it looks like the light was low then. Always keep your tripod handy so u can use smaller aperture - it would make your shot sharp.
Overall, I find the composition perfect! WELL DONE!:-)
