[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Centre Georges Pompidue
In order to straighten the vertical I had to crop to finish off but unfortunately this meant chopping some of the right funnel off.

Bonjour Bev.

Splendide recherche dans l’esthétique et des couleurs. Un point de vue judicieusement choisi pour en faire une belle photo. Félicitation.
Bonne soirée.
Urs

Hi Bev

Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat !!
A very graphic and artistic place that I know.
Excellent and clever shot.
Fantastic idea for this so small "zone touristique"

I really love it.
My compliments

Hello Bev
Tremendous colours, and amazing dof. It is a shame about the funnel on the right, but a well seen shot in the first place.
Regards, Leslie

hi Bev

This is a nice graphic presentation of the abstract artwork!

The colors and steel work are amazing. It is not easy to decide how to crop and show the best detail because every part of this abstract has its own interesting feature.

I think you did well to show the white funnels for a good contrast here to green, red and blue as dominant colors.

Good work.

tfs, bill

Outstanding shot, Bev!
Brilliant, clear color, wonderful graphics, perfect light and contrast (Not a spot of OE). I love those nice rich colors in contrast to the white and the sharpness and detail are superb. VERY well done. Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

superbe cadrage, j'aime bien le petit panneau en dessous

Hello Bev,

You’ve got the tweaking of verticals down to a fine art now!

I don’t think it matters that you have cut off a bit of the top of the white funnel – if anything I think it looks better like this than if you had got it all in.

The composition is excellent - the diagonal of those bars across the white funnels leads the eye neatly from the top right, towards the red, green and blue colours and shapes, of the left half of the picture.

The relative sizes of these, and their associated verticals and diagonals, make a pleasing busy contrast to the clean whiteness of the right half of the picture.

Very crisp, clear and colourful – the simple black frame is just right too.

Kind regards,

Peter.

Hello Bev!

Missed quite some posts over the past... months (^_^). Striking image. The Centre Georges Pompidou was and I believe is still subject to many discussions regarding its architecture in Paris. Many citizens were against its construction, due to its originality.

Nevertheless you captured a winning shot here. Love the tight composition and framing. Spectacular saturation of colors . Reminds me a lot the old goosenecks vents from old steamers like the SS Titanic.

Well observed and presented, keeping the sign at the bottom (^_^)
Robert
