Moving sands, not shifting sands
Moving heart , not feet

This beach leads exactly from St Michel-en-Grèves to Plestin-les-Grèves, Brittany, Côtes d'Armor where is the "Croix de mi-lieue" (Half-strand Cross)
I remind what I wrote under a previous shot:
The "Lieue de Grève" (Strand League- 5 km) between Plestin-les -Grèves and Lannion is a flat low water mark where the sea comes in quickly. As a protection against drowning hazards, a granite cross was erected on a rock. It is submersed twice a day. As long as the tip of the cross stands out, there is no imminent danger for the beach. "The cross sees us" they used to say.

The "Strand Half-League Cross" (Kroaz an Hanter-lev Draezh) was destroyed in 1944 and restored in 1993.
Local tradition has it that it was first erected by Saint Efflam at the very spot where he landed in Brittany, coming from Ireland.

Anatole Le Braz (1859 - 1926) mentions another danger for travellers who walked along the Strand League: prowlers who watched out for people to rob. The most famous gang was led by a woman, the "Charlezenn" (Margaret Charlès), who "wistled like a man to gather her troops"."
from chrsouchon.free.fr

Stasa

the beauty in it's simplicity - wonderful photo , clouds in horizon look like " fata morgana " and sparkling sunlight in the see - great time of the day to take a shot , i like it
regards ,
Arik

Bonsoir henri,

A bientôt

brigitte

bonsoir Henri

I can see glittering tones of colors and moods and patterns in the horizon changing from dark, to light, to gold to even shades of different tones created by one color but shifted into others by nature, and you captured that perfectly, amazingly, showing an effective side out a very simple view.. superb...

bonne nuit et a bientot
