Good Morning Everyone,

My posting, today, shows the Chateau d'Usse. With its conical turrets and fairytale appearance, you can easily see how it was the inspiration for the story 'Sleeping Beauty'.

I have included an Internet link here which tells a little more of the story of the chateau.

I loved this view over the bridge which seems to give it an understandable context.
I hope you enjoy the scene, too!

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the shot.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Bev,

This is a grand looking building. Very impressive and has stunning architectural interest and attraction. Well composed from this POV, I like your inclusion of the couple in the FG - adds depth of scale and the 'human' factor. Great photo! TFS.

Good morning Bev,
My, I feel like I am watching a Disney movie. The towers and bridge are most attractive, the walking couple rightfully adorns the scene. Best regards...

dear Beverley,
yes this is a really fantastic Chateau!
it looks not actual building but quite well made miniature model...maybe the original one of castles in theme parks.
anyway, joyful and of course fine picture you present us today.
thank you, from Japan,
Akihisa

Hi Beverly,
A fine capture of this impressive castle. The brightness and contrast are great and so are the colours. Two remarks though, the castle appear to lean to the right a bit, particular observed at the left tower. Secondly the road signs are quite disturbing although you showed the reality. Made a WS with some "corrections" to show what I mean. Anyway a fine posting Bev.

Hi Bev
I've been off TL for a while and trying to get back again!!
SO I've missed your French holiday photos. I love to see the castles, 'cos in NZ it is something we don't have at all.
Nicely composed, good lighting and sharpness too.
Well done
Janice

Hello Bev

hello Bev,
how intersting that this inspired the story of Sleeping Beauty. Your photo shows why the fairy tale book illustrations of fairy castles have conical turrets. You sem to have manged to sqeeze them all into your composition. I like the lead in from the bridge.
