Le 4 août 1443 naît l'Hôtel-Dieu. La guerre de cent ans s'est achevée par la signature du traité d'Arras en 1435. Toutefois les massacres continuent, les "écorcheurs" pillent et ruinent les campagnes, provoquant misère et famine. Les Beaunois sont dans leur grande majorité déclarés indigents. Nicolas Rolin, chancelier du Duc de Bourgogne Philippe le Bon, et son épouse Guigone de Salins décident alors de créer un hôpital pour les pauvres.Le 1er janvier 1452, l'hôpital accueille son premier patient. Vieillards, infirmes, orphelins, malades, parturientes, indigents, fréquentent l'institution du Moyen Âge au XXe siècle.
Les Sœurs Hospitalières prodiguent les soins sans relâche et demeurent l'essence même, pendant des siècles, de l'Hôtel-Dieu. De tout temps, il n'a jamais cessé de rayonner et a fédéré d'autres établissements à Pommard, Nolay, Meursault et Beaune pour constituer une communauté que l'usage a dès lors baptisée : Hospices de Beaune. Aujourd'hui, l'Hôtel-Dieu est un musée dont la splendeur architecturale est restée intacte depuis le XVe siècle. Le domaine viticole génère une activité importante. La vente aux enchères de ses produits est un événement annuel incontournable de la vie des Hospices et de toute la bourgogne viticole. Elle constitue une œuvre de charité fidèle à l'esprit de Nicolas Rolin et de Guigone de Salins, dont les revenus sont affectés à la politique d'investissement des services de soins et du patrimoine. The Hôtel-Dieu was founded on 4 August 1443, when Burgundy was ruled by Duke Philip the Good (Philippe le Bon) . The Hundred Years War had recently been brought to a close by the signing of the Treaty of Arras in 1435. Massacres, however, continued with marauding bands ("écorcheurs") still roaming the countryside, pillaging and destroying, provoking misery and famine. The majority of the people of Beaune were declared destitute. Nicolas Rolin, the Duke's Chancellor, and his wife Guigone de Salins, reacted by deciding to create a hospital and refuge for the poor.The hospital (known as the Hôtel-Dieu) received its first patient on 1st January 1452. Elderly, disabled and sick people, with orphans, women about to give birth and the destitute have all been uninterruptedly welcomed for treatment and refuge, from the Middle Ages until today. Today, the Hôtel-Dieu is a museum whose architectural splendour is unspoilt since the 15th century.
Equally, the vineyards generate a great deal of activity. The auction of its products is one of the essential annual events in the life of the Hospices and indeed in the whole world of Burgundy wine. It constitutes a charitable work faithful to the spirit of Nicolas Rolin and Guigone de Salins, and the profit is consecrated to the policy of investment in care services and heritage.

en vertical, c'est aussi beau qu'en Horizontal, qule beu dessin su ces toits, avec le colonnes en fond, le ciel est le même que sur le TE, super.

Magnifique représentation de ce splendide bâtiment que Louis de Funès et Bourvil en ont si bien fait sa renommée. Superbe cadrage et bon coup d’œil.
Tu me fais rappeler que j’ai encore dans ma cave quelques bonnes bouteilles de cet hospice que je vais mettre au menu un de ces jours.
