The lattice work of the balcony balances the decorative and ornate gardens.The gardens can be really appreciated from this higher viewpoint.

To my shame, Villandry is I think the only (alone ?) château de la Loire I never visited.But I am most interested in architecture than in perfect gardens.And generally publicities insist on gardens of Villandry.Fortunately, your post changes my mind and I see also a very
nice castle , that I shall see one day.Sure!
A very good composition indeed and with this beautiful presentation, how not to be charmed?

This is a wonderful combination of architecture and landscape. Shooting from this height with the diagonal guardrail gives an interesting POV. Very sharp and wonderfully colorful.

Very nice pov of the chateau and the gardens. Lovely colours and details. The tower and building are straight however the wall on the right is leaning. Sometimes its a matter of choosing what we want to show correctly. The stone in the wall on the right is lovely but the angle is a little distracting (IMHO) Lovely shot however

You've been putting flowers on lately - so I have to look back to find these excellent shots :)

Nice one here - great compo using the balcony rail as a lead in. I would though suggest a smaller aperture as you still have shutter speed to spare and you'd get a deeper DOF with the result that the balcony rail would be nice and sharp too.
