Good Morning Everyone,

Have you ever seen Nigella flowers?
They have the most wonderful, spidery leaves which set them apart from other flowers.

My post shows the seed pods of the flowers but the tendril-like leaves can be clearly seen.

I just loved the patterns that they were making against the rough stone wall of the old farm building. The sun had turned them into shadow puppets!

I have added an Internet link here, if anyone would like to find out more about this lovely flower.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Bev:
First of all, the shadows make this capture amazingly beautiful because they all are in focus, then I like your aretwork and how you created your framing which is an excellent PP work:)
Regards
David

Hello Beverley! Excellent composition, marvelous capture. Original light and shadows. Good frame. Well done!

Hi Beverley

Hi Bev,
Nice idea, and a clever presentation. I like how you've cropped the image and used the remainder as a frame. It has worked well to retain the shadows, not sure about the text but that's just a matter of taste. Great exposure and naturally captured colours, each stem and bud seems nice and clear too. Have never seen these flowers over here, so cheers for the link in your note :).

TFS,
Scott.

Bom dia BEV,
It's not a artwork, but a work-of-art. Extremely beautiful. Great focus, nice colors and framing. Marvelous lighting.

Hi Bev

Your title reminded me of this old song. Good repetition of the green spherical 'globes' & their shadows. Tfs!

Hello Beverley, when I opened this up I was a little disconcerted about the sharpness, but then as I sat further away from the screen the effect that you had created seemed to right itself.
The shadows are indeed very interesting.
I am always attracted by the contrasts between plants, flowers etc., and walls of stone or brick.
I like the framing but am not too sure about the title being on shot.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Beverley,
Great PoV on these flowers, it is hard to distinguish between subject and shadow in parts of this, you have done a fantastic job on the PP work and the out of frame technique you have used is brilliant. TFS
