Good Morning Everyone,

I'm starting the week with a view of Chateaubriant.

The chateau has a long history, as can be seen from the different architectural styles evident on the site. My picture shows the most recent, Renaissance wing of the chateau. It is quite luxurious by contrast, has big windows, large, grand staircases and ornate fireplaces.

I will add a w/s here to show the contrasting austere, medieval keep, which was part of the original stone castle, for you to understand how the building has developed.

I particularly liked the patterned, flower garden, in front of the chateau, and tried to show how this added to the more luxurious character of the new annexe.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Beverley! Amazing castle. Wonderful light and bright, ideal colours. Perfect sharpness. Good capture and frame. God luck!

Hi Bev,
Very nice looking castle, really wish we had buildings like this in Auckland! Lol. Nicely saturated colours, can definitely tell where the sun was positioned. The FG 'artwork' stands out brilliantly, well captured.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Bev,
The lighting on this architecture is great showing the detail of the tower beautifully. The flower arangement in the foreground draws you into the picture with a great PoV. Good colours, framing and a realy nice subject. TFS

Hi Bev,
Simply marvelous, the dark volumes at the BG and the clear and lucent FP are unforgetable.
My best compliments,

Hello, Bev -
Beautiful POV to show this fine chateau with the decorative garden in front. You've used the strong sun and shadows well to help highlight the architectural features. Nice warm colors and sharp details. Very nice image.

Hi Bev,
It looks like a castle built by Disney, just fabulous. You have captured its ambience very well.
I think if half the grass in the foreground was cropped, the beautiful building would gain more prominence, maybe a tad more sky would balance things....but I'm getting a little picky now.
I must say, quite a contrast to my rural 'castle'. ;)
Pete.
