Good Morning Everyone,

This was only the second chateau that I had ever visited and ... it began my love affair with French Chateaux!

I dedicate this shot to Henri Lecaire (colvert) because of his obvious love and pride in this area, the Loire region of France.

Chateau Azay-le-Rideau is situated in a very pretty little village; the chateau and the village complement each other perfectly.

On a lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon, what could be better than to explore the beautiful gardens and the fine architecture of the chateau and then, sit leisurely at a pavement cafe, chatting to locals, enjoying a drink and soaking up the atmosphere.

Well, there was more. A huge car boot sale/street market was in full flow that afternoon which gave the village a very colourful, almost festive atmosphere.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

pp sharpened, slightly cropped, applied a little dodging & contrast, added borders, signed, resized

Hi Bev

A very nice composition, a beautiful postcard.
Always lovely work dear Beverley.
Nice frame too.
I like your serie about the French Castles.
Did you visit The Château de Versailles ?

Kind regards

Salam Bev'
This is one of the hardest situation for photography when we face with strong shadows and highlights, but you've done it great
Very nice architectural shot with fine details and natural colors
The frame and font are well-choosed
Best wishes
Alireza

Hi Bev,
A very fine looking postcard. The framing from the trees either side looks great. The exposure on the chateau looks well balanced too, and the people provide a good scale. Nice shot.

TFS,
Scott.

Good Morning, Beverley!

First of all, thank you for your kind comments on my picture.
Great harmony of colors in a single picture..wow! The building looks just adorable with great architecture. The sharpness is prefect with nice POV. The garden in front of the castle gives great contrast in the picture, thereby increasing the beauty of the capture.
Prefect framing as always with nice way of preenting the picture.

thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla

Hi Bev:)
What a superb postcard vith excellent colours, POV, light and perspective.TFS.
Cheers,

Hi Beverly, I once took a tour of the Chateaux of the Loire. What a treat. This is beautiful. So many try to get the entire chateau in the frame, that one can't see any details. I like your close view showing only a portion of the chateau. The beautiful trees frame it nicely.

Versailles, I must say is like no other! It deserves a special trip. :) Lisa

You managed this well Bev! It's not easy to shoot from the shadows, into the sunlight! Beautiful place, excellent sharpness on this! The people are a nice touch!

Hi Bev,
Lovely PoV for taking this shot of the chateaux, I particularly like the way you have used the trees to frame the architecture of the building. The contrast between colours and materials is good as well. TFS

Hi Bev
Well captured image of the Châteaux, and the sunlight shining on the grass and pathway emphasises the contrasting colours and the details of the building.
It is an attractive building - I'd love to go visit it too
Janice

Thank you very much for your kind dedication,Beverley; it honours me and with me this region I love equally with Brittany.I like this castle, too, one of the completely surrounded with water and a little jewell again.
You took it from the best pov (forbidden to walk on grass in France ! :))))),and this gives a nice green natural frame and beautiful light.
Thank you very much ,Beverley.Kind regards
Henri of Azay ... and elsewhere :)
