As always, your today's capture is very nice too. The dragonfly looks amazing with great sharpness and nice details. The POV and DOF are just great. I like the eyes of the fly. The rich-green colored BG is just awesome. Well done!

Excellent work creeping up on this beautiful dragonfly. The capture here is wonderful. The detail is very good and the image is colorful and sharp. I really like the green blurred out BG. Nice shot.

Nice one Beverley. Good light all round, some of which is refelcting nicely off the wings.

Plenty of detail with a good sized image.
I like the positionong of this shot too. Just off centre, but balanced well with the left wing out of the frame.

Can't help you with the species identification though.

I prefer our gentle "demoiselles" to this dragon itself which ,though it is french... ,doesn't really charm me.But your shot is completely perfect and you worked a beautiful frame and if the "beast" may be more beautiful, the macro cannot be better
