A good portrait!!! The B&W is a good choice! I'd like to see more of his hand, so a little less crop. But maybe it is the real shot...:)

Bonjour Olivier,
A fine portrait in B&W. The pose is excellent, perfect sharpness, and his glance is a kind of intrigue superb expression. One remark though, I would have add a small black line inside the frame to create a barrier between picture and white frame. Nonetheless a fine posting!

Hi Olivier,

Terrific portrait of your brother in law. I like his pose. The background being blurry is effective as it adds interest, yet it is not distracting to him. I also think it could be cropped from the top even more if one chooses. Nice photo. I know he would be proud to have this in his home. :) Lisa

Bonjour Olivier,
Un portrait sans doute classique, mais particulièrement réussi. J'aime la pose, dont je devine qu'elle nous raconte en quelque sorte comment est ton beau-frère, ainsi que le cadrage serré et la lumière. Le tout dégage spontanéité et authenticité.
Si j'ai dit "classique", cela ne veut pas dire "simple", bien sûr. Ainsi, je ne parviens que rarement à faire des portraits en gros plan réussis. Il faut garder la "bonne" distance par rapport à son modèle, sous peine d'apercevoir une (légère) "déformation" de la tête du modèle (ce qui m'arrive parfois). Je constate que tu maîtrises cet aspect-là ;o). Comment règles-tu ton objectif pour que tout soit aussi "juste"?
